No Man’s Sky Expedition 23: starting routes and shared rewards

Our Journey Continues has two documented entry routes. Here is what the current announcement says about saves, rewards and the event window.

Source check: 2 October 2026. Two starting routes lead into No Man’s Sky’s Our Journey Continues. Here is how to separate entry, earned rewards and rollout information before beginning.

What this expedition is

Hello Games’ 16 September announcement presents Expedition 23 as a look back through earlier versions of the game, with developer commentary and anniversary rewards. It announces an approximately six-week run from that date.

That is an approximate window, not a verified closing timestamp. Check the current in-game event information before planning around a deadline. We have not inspected a live countdown or timed a playthrough.

Read “across saves” carefully

The announcement says earned exclusive phase rewards can be redeemed across save games through the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion aboard the Space Anomaly. Keep the word earned in that sentence: the description does not say that merely starting unlocks every reward.

Reward redemption is also a narrower claim than copying an entire inventory, duplicating every piece of progress or synchronizing a save between platforms. Those are different questions. This announcement should not be stretched into an answer it does not provide.

If a milestone behaves oddly, check the exact fix

The 30 September 7.05 notes document corrections to notes appearing on milestones that had none, collision on expedition artwork, and messaging when redeeming expedition rewards. These are specific publisher-described changes. They are not evidence that every expedition issue is resolved, and we have not reproduced them in play.

The current log adds a platform qualification

The dated 7.05 announcement still describes an initial Steam rollout. On 2 October, the live release log labels 7.05 for PC, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox Game Pass. Its 7.05 entry does not show PS4 or Nintendo Switch badges at this check.

Read those as two records with different scopes: the original rollout statement and the current platform list. Neither is a measurement of what is installed on your machine. Check your installed version before relying on a listed fix. These sources describe released updates; this guide does not ask you to join an experimental branch.

Our earlier Cosmos feature and patch guide covers the broader update as checked on 30 September. This article focuses on expedition entry and reward wording, with the newer platform-list check kept explicit.
